Gresham scores pair of Top-5 finishes in 602; Seventh-place outing in Magnolia 75
Pulling another weekend of double duty, Mario Gresham visited Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.) on Friday afternoon to compete in the weekly Sportsman division as well as the Crate Racin' USA-sanctioned Magnolia 75.
Among 49 CRUSA Late Models checked in, Gresham qualified ninth-fastest in his group and gained one position in his heat to finish eighth.
Starting towards the rear in the first 602 main event of the weekend, Mario stormed forward in the short 15-lap feature to finish on the podium in third. He trailed Josh Parkerson and Kyle Shaw who filled in the Top-3.
With a much better starting position in Saturday's 602 A-Main, Gresham scored another Top-5 outing with a fourth-place outing behind Josh Parkerson, Dillard Hatchett, and Tyler Burgess.
Nabbing the final transfer spot in his B-Main for the $10,000-to-win CRUSA showdown, Mario steadily sliced through the field to land inside the Top-10 in seventh.
