Mario Gresham parks in Talladega Short Track victory lane for Labor Day weekend triumph
After Mother Nature wiped out Crate Racin' USA's final visit to East Bay, Mario Gresham and his team competed in a pair of Labor Day specials at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) and Pine Ridge Speedway (Baldwyn, Miss.).
Finishing eighth in the 604 Late Model feature, Gresham topped a 27-car 602 Sportsman field in qualifying and earned the pole position for the A-Main after winning his heat race. Leading flag-to-flag in the 15-lap feature, Mario secured his eighth victory of the season and second at Talladega on Sunday evening.
On Labor Day, Mario finished fourth in the 604 Late Model feature before securing a runner-up finish to Chris Tays in the 602 Sportsman A-Main.
