Mario Gresham takes home ninth-place finish in Alabama State Championship at East Alabama
For one of the tour's biggest events of the season, Mario Gresham followed Crate Racin' USA to East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.) on Saturday afternoon for the first night of the Alabama State Championship.
With qualifying and heats slated for Saturday, Gresham timed in seventh-quickest in his group before finishing eighth in his heat race. For the $10,000-to-win main event on Sunday, Mario charged from 23rd-to-9th in the 50-lap feature to score yet another Top-10 finish with the series.
Mario also competed in the 602 Sportsman Late Model portion of the event but battled mechanical difficulties which resulted in him missing the main event.
