Gresham scores Top-5 in Sunshine Nationals finale at Volusia Speedway Park
Mario Gresham made his annual trek down to Volusia Speedway Park (De Leon Springs, Fla.) over the weekend and competed in both the 604 and 602 Late Model portions of the three-day Sunshine Nationals.
Gresham was among a whopping 104 entries on hand with Crate Racin' USA and kicked off the weekend with a sixth-place finish in his opening feature. After a fourth-place prelim finish on Friday, Mario started 14th in the $10,000-to-win finale and charged forward to land inside the Top-5 in fourth. He trailed Michael Page, Justin Williams, and Hayden Cardwell while Wil Herrington completed the Top-5.
In 602 competition, Mario finished fourth and third in his preliminary features on Thursday and Friday before wrapping up the event with a 12th-place finish in the $3,000-to-win main event on Saturday.
